Some people said it’s the necessary part for gap adjustment but they are wrong. Here’s the user
manual from sram official website, which indicate the method for chain gap adjustment without
gauge!! just make sure the gap between cassette and pulley is 15mm!!!
Two different crank to choose!! one is SX eagle DUB crank , another is X1 1000 DUB crank. Both in same level just choose as what you like!!
