A: Don’t think so! They smell only of seagrass and the material looks completely natural. I would use them for food storage without fear. Love these baskets and will probably buy more.

A: No, these are not collapsible.

A: Yes,a blanket or towels would fit in the large basket.

A: These baskets were surprisingly sturdy for a basket weave. I displayed mine stacked on a shelf. They should look good on a coffee table.
